Hi, we are Caroline and Sue – mindfulness teachers from Manchester, UK. Find out more about us and our passion for teaching mindfulness:
Caroline Blundell, B.Ed.
I have worked as a teacher for over 23 years and have experience in primary, secondary and post 16 education in the UK and abroad. I was formally introduced to Mindfulness Meditation whilst working in Hong Kong and on my return to the UK I recognised its enormous value and relevance in education and the workplace. Since then I have studied and qualified as a Mindfulness teacher.
My teaching experience has enabled me to develop the ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience. I am driven and seek to inspire individuals to develop self-awareness, inner strength, and clarity so that they are able to navigate this busy, competitive and complex world of today and live happy, content, creative and balanced lives.
Sue Pheasey, B.SC., P.G.C.E.
I graduated with a psychology degree and then undertook a PGCE with Manchester Metropolitan University where I trained to become a primary teacher. I have worked in both primary and secondary including special educational needs schools working with children with autism and complex needs.
Several years ago I began suffering with anxiety and depression brought on by work related stress. At this time I was introduced to mindfulness, which literally turned my life around. It took me through a journey of self-discovery and I began to study mindfulness and it’s benefits in education and the workplace. I have since qualified as a mindfulness teacher and teach mindfulness in primary, secondary and post 16 education; I teach mindfulness in the workplace and also facilitate courses with the mental health charity Mind in Salford.
